“Bo Thye served and worked and loved and gave because Jesus was the Lord of his life and his fervent prayer and greatest desire was that those who knew him would come to know Jesus for the first time or grow closer to Jesus in deeper ways.” – Angela Thye Sansone
Happy 70th Birthday in Heaven, Bo Thye
In 2015, January 24th is the 70th anniversary of the life of Bo Thye. Angela has written a wonderful tribute to celebrate Bo’s life and living. Here is an excerpt:
You valued people and enjoyed seeing others succeed
You enjoyed traveling and seeing God’s creation
You enjoyed taking care of our home
And skillfully fixed small and big things
You listened well to people

You valued time with family and friends near or far
And you found ways and means to travel and visit many

Bo Thye Memorial
Bo Thye’s Memorial service was on Saturday, August 9th at 2:00 PM (family present from 1:00-2:00 PM), in Story City, Iowa at Harvest Evangelical Free Church (524 River Hills Drive, Story City, IA 50248 – here’s a map). We will soon post an archive of the service and testimonies shared.
Bo’s Heavenly Homegoing
At 4:50 AM on the morning of July 29, 2014, he took his last breaths while Michelle tearfully read one of his favorites, Psalm 18, as he went to heaven.
The previous day was a good one for Bo. He was able to enjoy walking up and down our street twice. He enjoyed a lovely evening meal at our friend’s home with Michelle, Angela, and myself. On the way home, he experienced chest pains, became feverish, and started wheezing.
Thank you for all your love and support. We appreciate your prayers for our family during this time of loss as we go on without our dear Bo. We’re grateful for our hope of heaven and the precious time we had with him. He will be dearly missed.
Bo Thye’s Memorial service will be at Harvest on Saturday, August 9th at 2 PM with family present from 1-2 PM. Instead of flowers, please consider giving your gift to the Jesus Film Project “in memory of Bo Thye”
Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.” – Revelation 14:13
